Zemanta is a fancy Firefox plugin that enables you to scour the social web for any related articles and images which can be utilised to enhance a blog entry. Once installed, Zemanta will modify the layout of your blog’s add new post screen to give you more options. These options being relevant photos, related articles, and links all of which are derived from your entry’s text as you write it.

As you can see in the above paragraph, I have clicked the “apply all” button in my related links box to automatically link the words Zemanta, plugin and “social web” to the Zemanta homepage, and Wikipedia’s entries on plugins and the social web.

What’s even more amazing about the Zemanta product is that the entire thing is FREE!

Thanks for the coverage! We are very excited to give bloggers a new way to gain exposure to their posts, not to mention that a widget makeover was way overdue ;)

Feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions, concerns, ideas or feedback for the team! We are very excited to hear your thoughts!

mm, I’m hoping my gravatar disappears from your comment, tilly, once the cache times out. (I re-entered the comment using my own account due to crossed-wires thanks to my fiddlage, and adjusted my details to match yours, tilly…) :-/

Anyway, thanks for popping by my little backwater of a site :-D
It amazes me just how many folk pick out my blog when I post something about one of their products. It’s not just me, either, a friend recently posted about Windows 7’s Encrypting FileSystem and managed to get the attention of a real live windows 7 developer from Microsoft!
